With the start of the fishing season on the famous River Usk .Swanmeadow Cottages can allow you to have a taylor-made fishing holiday to suit your needs for salmon brown trout or even sewin on our 1 mile beat of the river with 10 named pools. With the unique opportunity of experiencing a genuine fishing lodge built over 100 years ago that sleeps 4 people (2 bedrooms 1 double 1 twin room) on the banks of the River Usk which is a designated SSSI area. The lodge offers an original rod room a place to set up your equipment ready for a day on the river. A pretty enclosed garden full of established shrubs with a verandah that allows you to sit and enjoy the garden and beyond into the surrounding fields. The location of the lodge within our mixed beef and sheep farm allows you to enjoy a truly secluded location. The wildlife on offer along the riverbank is plentiful with kingfishers sandmartins and even the occasional otter.
If The lodge is too remote a location maybe the cottages on the farm yard that sleep 3/4/5 people maybe of more use for small family groups. Abergavenny in South Wales is a great location just 5 mins from Abergavenny with great eating places and visitor attractions.
